Hello,
Does anyone know if a H1B can be transferred from a University to a company? Has anyone gone through this process?
The present h1 position comes under university (non-profit) category. You cannot transfer your H1 to a company which falls under profitable category. You need to apply for a new H1 which falls under cap.

On Wednesday, October 28, 2009, President Obama signed into law the FY10 Department of Homeland Security Appropriations bill. (http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=111_cong_bills&docid=f:h2892enr.txt.pdf) This Law provides a three year extension for four (4) immigration related programs. Specifically, the law extends the non-minister religious worker program, the �Conrad 30� program, the EB-5 visa program, and the E-Verify program through September 30, 2012.

Hi,
I have two H1bs. I was working on first H1 till 02/2007 , i moved to second H1from 03/2007 . I am planning to go back to my first H1b which is valid till 03/2008.
Is moving back and forth on these two valid H1 is possible? If so what steps i need to follow.

What are the requirements for using this. Can one exercise this option, if still available in the following scenario when returning from canada - H1 expired, H1 extension filing pending, no receipt notice received yet for H1 extension filing, and I-485 pending.

HI All,
I am a Canadian Citizen, Previously i worked on H1, Once i got a full time in Canada came back, but did not return I-94, still valid (not expired).
I had my Nexus card Interview, the American Officer checked previous I-94 and asked if i still worked with the same company, i said no. He took back the I-94 and rejected issuing Nexus card. He mentioned, if i was at a port of entry, i would have been banned from entering, but now i cannot touch you because you are not asking to enter USA. He did mention that, this will not effect my Future TN or H1b applications.
Now all i want to ask from you all are
1.Will this effect my future TN or H1.
2. Will US officials stop me from crossing the border
3. Is USCIS/INS going to see this history and effect my future applications like GC or any type of Visas.
Any information is welcome, or can anybody with similar experience share what happened in the past.

Hi Folks
My wife was working in India all this time and I am in US. H1 expires end of 2010. I believe I used up my extension .
I got my EAD and AP already after I filed for my 485 under Eb2.
My Question is , how long can she go on H4 ? Only till my H1. If she comes to US on H4 can I file her EAD or do I have to wait for the category to be current to do so .
If its not possible to get her and EAD , and her H4 expires in 2010 ( assuming that her H4 is commensurate with my H1 Life span ) then what options do I have so that she is in status .
Please advise.

I understand that when we re-enter the country using AP we will be given I-94 with the validity period just like that of AP.

The Supreme Court issued its decision in the Arizona business license/e-Verification law of 2007 and by a 5-3 margin has upheld the law.
