I have been working in DFT/Test field for few years now and it appears that my current group is leaning more and more towards Test Development for SOCs and less in DFT work. I really would like to pursue DFT as a career and have been looking for a job in DFT field. Not only that, moving to a newer company might help me in getting the green card faster; possibly.
Is anyone here working in the DFT field? If so, do you know of any job openings in your group or anywhere else for that matter?
Any help will be very much appreciated.

Hi,
Please advice me on below:-
1)I am on H1b visa and currently i am on bench. My 140 is approved and my H1b is expiring on sep30 ,2009. I got rfe for h1b extension asking for client letter.
Should i convert to h4 or do h1b transfer if i could be able to get someone to transfer it.
2) Also if I go to h4 visa will my green card processing with priority date remain same if i go back to same employer and ask them to file my h1b again after i get a project. Or they again have to start the process again even with same employer. Also what if i go with different employer.
3. If I apply for H4 visa now and in mean time i get a project before sep 30 2009, then what do I need to do. can i just ask my employer to again file h1b extension.
4) SO if I do h1b transfer or go on h4 what are the pros and cons.
Please let me know ASAP.

Hello,
Does anyone know if a H1B can be transferred from a University to a company? Has anyone gone through this process?
The present h1 position comes under university (non-profit) category. You cannot transfer your H1 to a company which falls under profitable category. You need to apply for a new H1 which falls under cap.

This is not really a surprise and it's not because American doctors are in any way inadequate. However, while virtually all US medical school graduates will eventually go on to practice medicine, residency and fellowship slots that go to J-1 and H-1B doctors are filled by doctors who generally finish near the top of their medical school classes. I am a July filer and have the option of working for a reputable company as expert consultant for 6 months (initial offer). Yates memo indicates that self-employment is possible. Here is my question: Do we need to register a company to be considered self-employed? As a consultant you may not have a customer for while. Isn't it better to register a company if you want to claim self employment? What are the pros and cons of registering a company?

If you want to retain your priority date your I 140 should be approved from your old employer, else you need to start from scratch again.

Hi all,
I am currently on L1 visa and want to apply for H1 through a small-time consulting company. However, I will decide on joining the new company only after I get the H1 visa.
* Is it get H1 visa and not join the company that has filed for my H1?
* Can I legally continue with my current company even after I get my H1?
* Can I join a third company instead of joining the company that has filed for my H1?
Can people share their experiences?

The inventory number does not include the EB1 and EB2ROW filings, which are always C and out of queue/approved in less than 6 months. They are not shown in inventory numbers.

Show that they approve over 60K per year on average (for past 10 years) for EB1 and EB2ROW (EB2 Korea is huge as well)
When we calculate, we should deduct 60K from 140K

I am not anti-Sigma either, but I do not believe anything the produce from a digital body perspective (no pun intended) is going to influence, or drive down Canon or Nikon pro body prices. Build quality and other features keep the C and N scads ahead.
