Hello,
I am just showing you my ignorance but what is it about.My wife works in DC right now and very active in fighting for our cause,she is a nurse.She has few correspondence with few senators and congressman but it will be great if there is a bigger force behind it all.please let me know how we can help.I too am tired of waiting in a limbo,the uncertainty is too much and by the day I get so discouraged and sometimes on the verge of giving up.

I was not married to her when she got her green card.It is even more difficult if we wait for family based petition, so we decided to get it through EB3, which at that time the sched A was very much highlighted.I am also ff any ammendments offered but to our dismay,the battle is even more uphill.She works in ICU and she said that it is undeniably true that shortage of nurses is everywhere.Am sure our wives are also suffering just as bad.Hope none of the lawmakers have to wait in ER becasue the nurse who is suppose to look after her/him is still waiting for his visa. this American dream is just taking its toll on a lot of people.It is very frustrating.

Expatsvoice has written is own draft legislation to amend the CSPA, as it is badly written, confusing to many including attorneys and Geoff Gorsky, head of VO and does not protect all children from aging out
This legislation has been passed from Dave Weldons office to his legislators in Washington, we are awaiting to hear the outcome
Also expats voice are being interviewed for a 6 week radio program on all problems relating to US immigration. will try and update here when I get any news

Mine too is the same. I hope we are not from the same company. I remember, I had to fight asking my employer to file the labor since they were delaying without giving any reason and they did filed a bunch of labors on the same day.

This is God damn license. If you have all the right paperwork why the f*** we need to care about their mood. They need to do their job. EVen though I was stuck in labor certification for 5 years and was able to file for my last stages before the mess, still I feel other folks in this immigration community should not be stressed like me . So, even though I can't make it to the immigration rally, I am contributed $100 rightaway and will try to convince my other colleagues on the same boat to contribute.

Hi all .. I am not writing this post to disagree with any one on any thing. I am very respectful of the members who participate this forum and write their suggestions/comments/ideas... Specially when I know people who are facing the same problem but do not make any efforts to solve it or join IV.
In the same lines .. my opinion , we probably need more followers and implementers who can direct IV core suggested plans.
Actively participating the Forum and visiting the web site regulary is one of the actions called for from Pappu (IV Core), you are all doing, I did that. There are other action items that need be implemented by who ever has ability, time and can direct others.
BOTTOM LINE, YOU FOLKS BRING UP INTERESTING IDEAS AND DEBATE TO THE FORUM .. PLEASE KEEP IT UP.

I just logged in thinking that by Monday, we July 2nd filers wud be getting receipts. But after flipping the pages back on this forum, I saw that the Monday was indeed the previous one. This is indeed misleading. After seeing the ongoing tussle between buddyinus and Srikondo, I realised Buddyinus is right. Whats wrong in whatever he's saying??? The purpose of this thread is to discuss about the so called Monday's receipts. But since that Monday is gone, looks like u r fighting over nothing. How dare u warn anybody on this thread. I am with Buddyinus on this. He may be a junior but u dont have any rights to warn him. Beware.

I'm getting MBA from Babson College in MA (top25). The total cost is $60K in just tuition. My employer pays appx. half of it.
It's a huge investment of not just money but time as well. You have no life for three years.
It's very rewarding to learn so many different subjects: Economy, Marketing, Accounting, Law, Leadership, Finance, Technology management, Organizational Behavior. I reach classes tired but come out fresh. It really broadens one's thinking.
I got my B. Tech. from India. It's great to have American Classroom experience.
Great Networking.
I still have 30 years of professional life ahead of me to use knowledge/expertise gained from MBA. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything.
Due to demographic shift in US, large shortage of middle-management is expected in coming decades. MBA can provide a real leg-up in career advancement.
At the same time... I can totally see when some people just go through the motions to get their MBA and do nothing with it. Don't approach it like just a degree. If you are committed to learning new skills, using them and improving yourself just a little everyday... Go for MBA.
Also, don't expect big bucks immediately following MBA. Class knowledge , combined with some experience afterwards will actually provide super returns. Most of the studies that look at salary increment right after MBA will come up with -v e RoI.
In a nutshell, there are many factors to consider in a decision about getting an MBA degree; tuition expense is not the biggest one. If you have any desire to get MBA, don't let others dissuade you.
