But the downside to this is that most EB2 July filers have (or will be) been renewing their EAD's in August/Sepetember and this bulleting will not let USCIS give out 2 yr EAD's and instead hand out 1 yr ones.
Just because your PD is current dosnt mean that USCIS will process your apps right away. There are folks whose PD was current under July bulletin and their apps haven't been touched based on some anecdotal evidence here..
But the Eb3 news is not good.

I fully support this donor forum. there should be some incentive for members who donate. they are not doing it because they have lots of money to spare, but they sacrifice because they believe in this cause. I don't think $25 is going to break anyone's bank. Just sacrifice something that you consume/enjoy every week, and donate that.

not that it makes a huge difference, are they atleast trying to use some of the visa numbers by working over this weekend???
they are working overtime on receipting (see the FAQ). Wish they stop receipting for these last 2-3 days and use up ALL the visa numbers. Everyone should be put into I-485 approval work. If there are people stuck in NC, see if any of the June/July filers manage to pass the FBI database without a hit.
A receipt notice coming 2 days late is not a big deal. If a visa number is not used up, its lost, gone forever!

Please read my statements properly. I have taught about 100 (the number of students in my last 5 classes were about 70, 30, 25, 25, 12). My colleagues have been observing the same issues for last 5-7 years when the number of students from India started to surge. The number 1000 is the estimate for over the 5 year period. Both numbers are conservative estimates.
and why, pray, does your esteemed school keep accepting students from these so called "sub-standard" colleges in india? i would say 5-7 years of observed emperical evidence calls for some substantial action on your and your school's part in black-listing these institutions........so, either:
1. you are blowing smoke through eveyone's a** here or
2. the school is greedy for tuition fees - proving an earlier contention made in this thread about it being all about money....

mmm...didnt knew about this..After living and working here for ten years, i am still in-eligible for the tax rebate...phew!!!! (filed jointly, no SSN for my wife)..maybe i will claim it all next year....I am eternally optimistic :-)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the "SSN Rule" is meant to keep the illegals form getting the rebate?? Ironically, a lot of them are working using "valid", although stolen, SSN numbers anyway so they'll probably still get it if the IRS doesn't have any other way of weening them out? Again, the legal immigrant community gets punished (indirectly) for the misgivings of the illegals. Just my rambling thoughts...:cool:

Hi gurus,
Can you please let me know your views on my situation where both my original APs are stamped at the POE when I went to India and came back to US. Since I do not have a third AP original, will I have to get one from USCIS or can I use these two stamped ones to return to US if I intend to travel in near future?
Is it possible to go to nearby USCIS office to get a new original AP?

AILA has reported a very interesting or confusing DOS LegalNet Office letter which one of the members received towards the fact that the consular posts had already been allocated their numbers for the month of July prior to EB visa numbers becoming unavailable on July 2 and that the posts may continue to use their July allocations of EB numbers, and continue to issue Immigrant Visas for the rest of this month, July, for those applicants who were scheduled for IV interviews in July. I wish your prediction come true but does not seem like i don't think this que is going to move anyfurther untill next few years, i was very positive about this que will move faster after Feb 2009 but since then its still sitting to the same duration and have not move even a little, so sorry bro but does not seem like this will move untill next year.
May be it will move few month in the end of the year but getting it current or passing 2008 i don't see it happening untill 2011.
Sorry its bitter but true unless there is any big releaf given to us which does not seem to be hapening as Mr. Chnage has lot to do with economy and figth against terror.

2) Limitations due to law: (PDs). Demands is greater than the visa numbers (China, India, Mexico, Philipine: You are screwed here!) => 20 years or more of waiting.
